Skills Investment Plan

At the December 2018 Cabinet a new regional plan for Skills was approved.

The  Regional Skills Investment Plan 2019 – 2024 was co-produced with a number of key partners, including the region’s colleges, universities and Skills Development Scotland.

Skills are vital for our plans for growing the economy. The new plan is underpinned by a robust analysis of our labour market. It will see all of our public sector agencies, including our colleges and universities, work more effectively together to a common vision and set of agreed actions to meet the needs of residents and employers while encouraging economic growth and tackling inequality.

To gain momentum and create a strong platform on which to build, a range of short-term actions have been identified for delivery in year one of the plan.
