Commission for Economic Growth

The independent Commission for Economic Growth was established in 2014 as part of the formal arrangements for the implementation of the Glasgow City Region City Deal.

Chaired by Professor Anton Muscatelli, the Commission acts as the principal economic adviser to the Cabinet and will provide input to the National Panel as it develops evaluation methodologies.

The Commission will link with the both the UK and Scottish governments, recognising their key policy objectives, whilst acknowledging the key policy and delivery roles of local authorities and their partners.

The Commission meets quarterly.
