Part of the Region’s Economy and Health programme, and part of work to create and inclusive and more productive economy, Glasgow City Region is currently developing a Good Employment Charter which aims to promote the benefits of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
The Charter is intended to help employers to create workplaces which embrace the characteristics of good employment in ways that ensure fair pay, opportunity, and progression to all.
The Charter, which is endorsed by the Region’s Anchor Network, will be a voluntary scheme open to all employers across Glasgow City Region. It is anticipated to support employers in a number of ways including helping to attract employees, providing access to a unique support network, and increasing long-term employee retention.
In January 2024, the Region launched a survey for employers to help shape the Charter, which is currently in development.
