Tontine Nurtured RecTech Start Up Revolutionises Recruitment
RecTech start-up VizCareer is just one of the go-getting enterprises continuing to participate in iGAP@Tontine this week, with the young recruitment technology company making the most of the Strathclyde Business School programme available to Tontine based businesses with aspirations to scale up.
VizCareer uses cutting edge technology that’s revolutionising the recruitment sector. The start-up has innovatively replaced traditional methods of hiring talent by utilising video instead. This enables employers to advertise their vacancies using video adverts pushed out through social media and for candidates to respond using this instant visual medium. This ground-breaking model of hiring, maximises reach and empowers employers to manage their own recruitment campaigns.
Employers are able to view candidate applications on ‘video walls’, with candidates able to showcase their suitability for the role using video at a very early stage in the recruitment process. Candidates can also upload their CV or any other documentation required using the same integrated platform, which streamlines the process.
VizCareer are concentrating on growing their business with great success. The enterprise recently assisted the global oil and gas giant Exxon Mobil with recruitment and they are constantly seeking out new business opportunities across the globe.
Debbie Stewart, Director of VizCareer said; “VizCareer is making accessible to recruiters, the latest technology which means they can engage with and identify potential candidates in a forward thinking way that inspires and excites the workforce of the future. The platform saves time and money for recruiters and is of particular benefit when managing the initial selection and sifting process. Basing ourselves at Tontine has been a sound business decision. We’ve found the flexible workspace well suited to our way of working and we’ve been afforded innumerable networking and business development opportunities”.
Connor Haggerty, Director of VizCareer added; “Tontine is providing to our business, a hugely supportive working environment and we’ve found sharing workspace with liked minded start-ups has been inspiring and encouraging. It’s the ideal base from which to focus on growing our client base and we’re going from strength to strength. The iGAP@Tontine programme at Strathclyde University continues to be a fantastic chance to explore ways to upscale our business and hear about the experiences of other growing enterprises. We were able to access the programme through our link to Tontine and it’s been so helpful in terms of identifying ways to develop VizCareer and taking time out to concentrate on its growth”
